SIRE COLLECTION ~ CUSTOM BUCK COLLECTION AT YOUR FARM

We provide custom buck collection a a limited basis. Either locally here in central California or coinsiding with any trips we take, which usually includes one trip cross country to PA and NY each fall.
~~ WE will be collecting Sept 27 at Kat Drovdahl's in Central Point Oregon~~
~~ We expect to be traveling to NY & PA in late Oct, early Nov.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO HAVE YOUR BUCK READY FOR COLLECTION

~ Insure your buck is in good health, with a good mineral supplement (that includes copper, if required in your area).
~ Use your buck for breeding at least once before collection date, then house him alone (without breeding) for no less than 7 days before collection.
Note: your buck makes his semen @ 6 weeks prior to using it, so insure any worming etc., happens prior to 7 weeks of collection.

WHAT WE REQUIRE TO SCHEDULE A COLLECTION STOP

We REQUIRE~ booking fees for no less than 10 bucks (see below as to how this works)
You will need supply 1 or 2 does in standing heat.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS and HOW WILL THE COLLECTION WORK

Fees Costs and other pesky matters~
~A $35 non-refundable booking fee for each buck is required, along with his full registered name & registration number (a copy of his registration certificate is most desirable). This deposit allows for straws to be printed in advance. It also pays for your first 10 straws of this collection for this buck. ** WE NEED 10 BUCKS BOOKED WITH BOOKING FEES PAIDTO SCHEDULE A COLLECTION STOP**
~ The first 100 straws (per buck) are $3.50 each, with minumum requirement of 30 straws ordered per buck.
~ Any straws over 100 (per buck) are $3.00 each.
WHAT TO EXPECT AND HOW COLLECTION TAKES PLACE
~ Upon our arrival, we will need a place to set up equipment & work (warm, non drafty) a kitchen table or counter works very well. You will be welcome to watch, but lessons are not being given, and there is not time for questions.
~ Bucks will be tied (2 or 3 at a time). The teaser doe (in heat) will be walked by and tease the bucks. Each buck will be collected several times. The buck owner or his agent will be required to read the bucks tattoos & insure they match his registration certificate, then sign collection report. ORIGINAL REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES ARE NEEDED ON SITE FOR EACH BUCK.
~ Semen is then processed. The next morning the semen is frozen. You are shown thawed semen (via the microscope), You sign the collection report as owner, pay the fees and take delivery of your semen.
